A native of Ticino who came up through the ranks in Lugano, he stood out at a very young age for his aggressive offensive play, his ability to set the pace, and his scoring from the perimeter. He joined Fribourg Olympic after a stint with the Lugano Tigers. Dell’Acqua brings a modern style to Olympic: energy, aggressiveness toward the circle, and intensity on both ends of the court—a player on the rise, capable of turning the tide of a play with a shot or a drive to the basket.
