Fribourg Olympic Basket is pleased to announce the arrival of Izan Le Meut for the 2026-2027 season. The French center has signed with the club for one season.
The 22-year-old Izan Le Meut stands 2.14 m tall and will strengthen Fribourg’s inside game. His size, presence around the basket and ability to make an impact in the paint will be valuable assets for Olympic’s roster.
A U19 World Cup runner-up with France in 2023, Izan Le Meut already has solid international experience at youth level. Last season, he played in Switzerland for Union Neuchâtel, where he confirmed his impact with averages of 13 points and 12 rebounds per game.
His arrival reflects Fribourg Olympic Basket’s ambition to build a competitive and determined roster capable of meeting the demands of the upcoming season, which will begin in mid-September with the Basketball Champions League qualifiers.
Izan Le Meut therefore becomes the third foreign player under contract for next season, alongside Jonathan Williams and Deyton Albury.
