A Touch of the Bahamas Soon in St-Léonard

Arrival of Deyton Albury

Fribourg Olympic Basket is pleased to announce the arrival of Deyton Albury. The Bahamian player has signed with the club for the 2026–2027 season.

Aged 24, Deyton Albury stands 1.88 m tall and primarily plays at the 2 and 1 positions. As a rookie, he will discover the Swiss championship in Olympic’s colours, with the ambition of bringing his energy, talent and versatility to the Fribourg squad.

Arriving from New Mexico in the NCAA, Deyton Albury comes off a historic season with his university, contributing to one of the best campaigns in the program’s history. He posted solid statistics, averaging 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 38.0% from three-point range.

An athletic player and scorer, Deyton Albury also stands out for his strong defensive qualities. Capable of applying significant pressure on the ball handler, he can impact the game on both ends of the court and bring intensity to the Fribourg roster.

Originally from the Bahamas and holding Cotonou status, Deyton Albury will arrive in Fribourg at the beginning of August. He will then take part in the resumption of training, scheduled for August 10, in order to prepare for the new season with his teammates.

His arrival reflects Fribourg Olympic Basket’s ambition to build a competitive, dynamic and ambitious roster capable of meeting the demands of the upcoming season.

For next season, marked by the club’s return to the European stage, Olympic now has two foreign players under contract: Deyton Albury and American point guard Jonathan Williams.

The club warmly welcomes Deyton Albury and looks forward to seeing him soon in action at Saint-Léonard.
