Fribourg Olympic Basket announces the departure of Deyton Albury and Joe Toussaint, both of whom joined the Fribourg team at the beginning of the 2026–2027 season.

Deyton Albury, a 24 year old American point guard/shooting guard, has requested to leave the club for family reasons. Meanwhile, Joe Toussaint, a 26 year old American shooting guard, has decided to pursue a new sporting opportunity abroad.

Both players left the club on Friday, 9 October, and will therefore not be available for Saturday’s league game against the Lugano Tigers.

Fribourg Olympic would like to sincerely thank Deyton Albury and Joe Toussaint for their commitment and professionalism during their time with the club. The club wishes both players every success in their future sporting careers and personal endeavours.

To address these departures and maintain the team’s sporting ambitions, Fribourg Olympic’s sporting management is already actively working to strengthen the roster, with the recruitment of a point guard identified as the top priority.
