Fribourg Olympic Basket is pleased to announce the contract extension of Boris Mbala for the next two seasons.

The Fribourg native returned to Saint-Léonard at the beginning of September to temporarily strengthen the roster. He has now committed his future to the club, signing a new contract that will keep him at Fribourg Olympic Basket for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 seasons.

The 30-year-old knows the club, its environment and Olympic’s expectations extremely well. Since returning to the team under head coach Thibaut Petit, he has quickly settled back into the group.

After initially joining on a one-month deal, Mbala’s return to Fribourg has now become a long-term commitment. His experience, energy and strong connection to the club will be valuable assets for the team over the next two seasons.
