As we look ahead to the new 2024/2025 season, we are delighted to complete our squad by signing a fourth foreign player: Chimezie Offurum.

The 24-year-old American, who stands at 202 cm, plays in the power forward position and has joined the Fribourg squad on a one-year contract. He recently completed his first professional season with C’Chartres Basket (NM1 France), where he recorded the following statistics: 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

A graduate of George Washington University, where he played in NCAA Division 1, he brings with him an athletic prowess that will strengthen the team for the coming season. We are delighted to welcome Chimezie Offurum and are confident that he will contribute to our team’s future success.

This brings our recruitment for the 2024–2025 season to a close, during which we will be competing in four tournaments. The number and frequency of matches, as well as the physical toll of travelling, will provide ample opportunity for young players to support our experienced professionals and continue their development through competitive experience at the highest level.

We are thus continuing our development and training policy by bringing in young players in collaboration with our academy.
