Fribourg Olympic Basket announces the launch of a new collaboration with Broye Basket and Sarine Basket, two clubs actively involved in the development of regional basketball in the canton of Fribourg.
Approached by the two organisations, Fribourg Olympic has agreed to take on a supporting and mentoring role for their coaches. In concrete terms, the Swiss champion club will act as a true “coach of coaches”, sharing its experience, know-how and technical expertise with the staff of the partner clubs.
As part of this collaboration, a member of Fribourg Olympic’s first-team staff will visit Broye Basket or Sarine Basket approximately once a week. These visits will provide an opportunity to meet the coaches, discuss their day-to-day work with them and support them in their development.
The first activity is scheduled for August 2026.
Through this initiative, Fribourg Olympic Basket aims to actively contribute to the development of basketball in Fribourg. The goal is clear: to strengthen the skills of coaches, improve the quality of supervision and support the progress of young female and male players across the canton.
This collaboration marks a new step in Fribourg Olympic’s commitment to putting its experience at the service of regional basketball as a whole and contributing to its long-term development.
